Isn’t it sad that in a great event like this there are always the people that have to find whatever negative, naive approach they can to dampen spirits and encourage people to be skeptics of something that deserves nothing but applause? It takes a person with a big heart and the ability, resources and finances to step up like Al Larson of Larson Contracting did. Yes, it is true that there are many volunteers and donators, both companies and individuals that come together to make this happen. All have and will continue to be given credit for what they do, both by the media and Al himself. Al still had to put his name on the dotted line accepting the responsibility to get the job done and foot the bill in the end for whatever donations do not cover. This is a huge commitment!! It is too bad that more people couldn’t have heard the amazing speech that Al gave at the Pep Rally. It showed the true person, the Grandpa that wants to pass down to his grandchildren the lesson of giving when you have the ability and chance to do so in the hopes that it will encourage other to give on whatever scale they can. I hope that all of the businesses and people that participate do somehow benefit from this experience, whether it be spiritually, personally or through the success of their businesses. No matter how you look at it, this is an amazing opportunity for this family, this area and everyone that has given of themselves or their businesses to be a part of this experience!!!!

On It’s the DeVries family!
