I seriously can't believe this happened. I read that a few of the residents have since passed on. I am ashamed that they had to live the end of their lives being abused the way they did. I hope and pray they are in a better place. As for the abusers, I believe their punishment will be given to them on judgement day.

At 18 he is an adult. His parents or the cops shouldn't be blamed for his actions.

Either they sent in their story or someone else did. ABC or Extreme Home Makeover picked this family and thought they were deserving. Good for them!!!! It doesn't matter what family was picked - someone wouldn't think they deserved it.

I'm very happy for the family and what has been given to them. They have every right to make an educated decision to live pet free for whatever reason they choose. If you don't agree with their decision too bad. Posting your pitiful comments on here is not going to change anything. (Demo1969) - if you don't have anything nice to say - don't say anything at all. Walk a mile in someone else's shoes before you judge.

READER101: I was talking about the nursing home victims and their families - not the girls and their families!!!
My father is in a nursing home and has Alzheimers - he is not at Good Sam. I fully understand and agree with full punishment. That is not what I was saying........NOT AT ALL!!!

The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution reads, in part, "No person shall be ... deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law ..."
What this means, in plain terms, is that constitutionally you cannot be executed, imprisoned, or fined without the proper course of justice taking place. As you found out, due process, itself, is not defined in the constitution, but is universally recognized as meaning what we term as "a fair trial."
I don't know any of the individuals involved but this is what the laws states. This is a serious situation and it has to be addressed with caution because of the nature of the crime. As a community we need to stop and realize the impact of these comments - they could be hurting the family of the victims.
God Bless the victims and their families.

It's not guns and knives that hurt and kill people - it's people that hurt and kill!!!
