Give them a break. I don't understand why a sign would hurt the image of Albert Lea or what a few people think the image should be. Rediculous

variety is the spice of life. each business is individual and should be able to have its own look. how boring this town will be if all the businesses have to look alike or as someone thinks they should look. i've never once driven around town saying a business needs more windows or has too many signs in their windows. each business is individual and should be able to have it look as they think it should and not have to conform to what one small group of our leaders think they should.

the members resisted change when they obviously needed one. too easy to just go on like it was. well look where it got you? no club. they needed to change and they didn't want to. too bad so sad. i enjoyed playing bingo at the elks . my sister went every week and now she goes to austin for bingo.

I agree . Wayne was a very good administrator at ALTEC and was very well liked by the students. As metisman said, he was fair and honest. Wonderful man! God Bless

i'm glad no one was seriously injured in this accident. everyone here is complaining about the construction causing these accidents. no. the people driving in the construction zones are causeing the accidents by not paying attention to what they're doing. when in a contruction zone you slow down and pay attention. if you do that there wouldn't be all these "accidents". he swerved to avoid slow moving traffic. did he think he could go faster than the slow moving traffic when there's only one lane to drive in?

i agree with wildman. heard of that before also. and how did the family "find" him when a helicopter and a canine unit couldn't? Something just isn't right here. Glad he was found and is ok but if he just had a cut to the hand why , in that amount of time he was missing, didn't he find a house to go to? I'm not believing this story at all.
