My dad always liked beet greens too. But, yeah, he cooked them with bacon so they were not actually healthful eating.

Thank you, Pierre. Last time I checked, we all still had the right of free speech in this country. And shame on you, No Dfl, by saying you wish he hadn't gotten such great care at Mayo, I can only infer that you were wishing he died. Because he has an opinion that differs with your own; you wish he had died. Next time, just skip his column.

And, feedman, hope you're still sitting down because some people of Hispanic descent were BORN here. And their parents were BORN here. Amazing isn't it? Are you native American or did (gasp!) your ancestrors come from somewhere else also? Oh, but I'll bet you are a WASP so that makes it ok.

Fabulous salad bar!! And all other menu items I have tried were excellent. Nice to have a healthy alternative within walking distance of my office.

Have you two read anything about the flu pandemic in 1918? Look it up. Was an excellent documentary on PBS a while back. And staying home would be the best thing to keep it from spreading. The name came from the fact that the virus originates in pigs and sometimes jumps to humans. Unfortunately this virus mutates and can now be spread human to human. Yes, people die from the flu every year. But this has the potential to kill millions. Not saying it will, not trying to be alarmist but people need to take this very seriously.

Why would anyone stay with someone who "physically fights" with you, tries to kill your innocent dog, etc. If someone hits an animal, they will hit a person. Poor doggie. Hope it finds a good home and lots of love and snuggles.

Exactly, gone. Some comments are so long they practically become an article not a comment. And when I see one that goes on and on, I admit that I just lightly skim through. Is the point to comment on an article or to display one's erudition? I much prefer short, to the point, pithy comments.
