Innovance (Lou-Rich and such) has been laying off people regularly lately. I don't beleive it has made the news yet but it is because of the economy. Let's hope this stimulus plan brings many jobs.

Their food is great. I haven't had anything there that I don't like. Try it for yourself, don't believe what people write on the message board. Their hours can be unpredictable but they always seem to be open friday and saturday.

I got a warning for not moving my car for more than 12 hours when it snowed but they must not enforce those, they say they will tow your vehicle but some cars sit snowed in for a week.

Even-odd rules are a PAIN! I lived in Winona, and from Nov to April, snow or not, you can only park on one side of the street. The city makes a ridiculous amount of money on tickets. Some cities only enforce rules like this if there is say, 1 inch or more of snow. I think that is more realistic. I have to park on the street, too. If the section I park in isn't plowed I just park in front of one of the many vacant houses until it does get plowed.

So many other businesses are not giving raises or bonuses. My husband and I are both affected. We are grateful to still have jobs!

More staff + better pay = higher taxes to pay for it.

I agree that staff is not paid enough and that there is a shortage, but hiring more people and paying them more is not as easy as it sounds!

Big difference between the Y and library. At the Y you have to BUY memberships. At the library, patrons don't pay a penny unless they acquire late fees.
