"I refuse to believe that well respected reporters like Chris Wallace, Britt Hume, Greta VanSustren and Bill O'Reilly are somehow not credible because they are a part of Foxnews."

It's team work. Foxnews is not crediable because of it's reporters and they are not crediable because of Fox. Bill O'Reilly is simply not crediable period. Bill is just entertainment like any clown, just like the clown Rush.

And, no, they are not well respected.

What are the addresses of the two houses? Have the property owners been informed?

One hundred feet to one hundred and fifty, is that less than the height of the tower? In other words if we have a bad ice storm could the tower fall over and hit the houses?

“At the time, Gilo was out on pre-trial release for an alleged gun incident in Albert Lea. … In July, Gilo allegedly pulled a handgun on a 25-year-old man in Albert Lea while a second man beat the victim.”

So you can pull a gun with no serial numbers, hold it on a person while your partner beats that person to a pulp, and then get released from jail without a trial.

Way to go Freeborn County Justice system!!!

By not holding this guy you created work and jobs for.. the local hospitals, the police, any number of lawyers, judges of courts, jail personnel, why it’s a regular job core.

One would hope the local law enforcement and judicial system would do a better job protecting us.

Mr. Ross, gun is mentioned in the headline, but not mentioned in the article until the fourth paragraph and then it turns out that didn’t even happen during the latest incident. That was news back in July, not now. This is a weird way to write an article.

The $55 million figure must be incorrect. Maybe it should be billions.

"No insurance for abortion in gov’t plan"

I read the title of the article and I'm a little surprised there is no insurance for abortion. But I don't think I need to read the article since the issue is already decided.

Mr. ErnieGann,

So how do you propose we "level the playing field"?

Mexico has the edge on us with low wages, low taxes (what with no services you don't need much in taxes), little or no environmental controls and maybe no enforcement of the ones they have. No OSHA or anything like that and a workforce motivated by poverty.

With that background how do you propose we "level the playing field".

Do you suddenly want some help from the government or what is your idea?

"Tennessee and Massachusetts have a public care medical program. Both are in severe economic crises. The money to pay for the programs is not there."

So you are saying we should continue the present method of rationing, if you have insurance that pays (many things are not paided or are partially paid) or money (lots) or a charity you can have that expensive operation, otherwise you are out of luck.

So, we already ration our health care.

"...no one can place blame on the executives of the company." Really? I think we can.

Since the information used to make the decision to move is not available to us, yes I think we can question and even blame the executives. When it comes to efficiency there are many things you can do. You can invest in new equipment and highly skilled (low error rate) workers or you can go with less expensive equipment and lower skilled and lower wage workers. Was that the choice made? We don't know.

And just how profitable is the plant in Iowa? High, medium, low, what is the difference in going to Mexico. Was the plant in Iowa profitable but the one in Mexico is simply going to be a little more profitable. We don't know.

There is risk in moving your plant and a lot of expense, to anywhere new. You can loose the recipe for successes, make mistakes in manufacturing and lower the quality of your product, that results in loss of customers.

So, we don’t know how the decision was made and only time will tell how it works out. For Lake Mills and for Cummins.
