I was shocked to hear that this was Andy, the one I went through high school with. I hadn't seen Andy since high school or shortly after a couple times. Andy was a very nice person, and a joker, at least what I could remember. My prayers and thoughts truly go out to his family. What a tragic thing to happen to the family. Family, please know that he is in a safer place now and he will watch over all of you. God Bless

Isn't that the truth, things locally cost more and guess what I know there are business owners from Albert Lea, that go to the big cities to shop, so enough with telling people to support their area. I know it helps all the way around, but who wants to be seen wearing the same shirts, jackets, etc. I can't remember the last time that I went into the Walmart. And the reason I don't is because their stock is always low and you have to wait in lines forever to be checked out. As far as the Mall goes, I haven't been there to shop for years. There is nothing there to shop for. Some of the people that work there, have looked at me, "like I have never seen this person shop here before", this is why I don't shop there.

I found out that one of the residents was in a vegetable state and that things were happening to this resident only, because she couldn't defend herself.
Remember their names: Brianna, Ashton, Alica, Morgan, JS, KN, SS, and RM. Ask someone you know that has gone to school with these individuals, or better yet get your hands on the 2008 Albert Lea school yearbook.

nik, exactly what I was saying in my above comment. I am a parent and I get in my kids business. I want to know who they are with, who they hang out with, where they are at and with whom. Instilling morals and values into your child at a young age is part of who they become later in life. Maybe these parents had instilled morals and values, but they must have not been aware of the friends they were hanging out with. Peer pressure is tough now days, but we, as parents still have to let our children know that there will be times when peer pressure is pushed on you and you have to be on your toes to know how not to follow the evil doers.

I wonder how many people will be at the court date of these disgusting individuals???????? Maybe there should be some protesting happening that day in front of the courthouse???????????? I was told that all these so called "mean girls" have removed their facebook or my space accounts. And let it be known to the public that the one they call Brianna has now "put on a lot of weight" and does not look like she does in the photo. Ashton has lost several pounds and has dyed her hair "blond". Remember these individuals can change their looks and hide their identities, just like they kept their disgusting acts hidden. I can't even feel any remorse for the parents of these individuals, because they should have been more observant as to the friends their daughter(s) were hanging out with. These parents had to have known that all these girls partied (pics on face book) and did crap that they knew was wrong and against their parents wishes. I know not every son or daughter is a angel, but I feel it doesn't hurt to dig into your son's or daughter's life, to make sure they are following the right path, making the right choices and knowing the consequences if they do wrong.

As I mentioned before please read the COMPLAINT REPORTS on these SICK individuals. They had been doing sick things to the residents on several occassions. They didn't just do it once, THEY DID SEVERAL TIMES AND GOT A LAUGH OUT OF IT!!!!!!! We are all mandated reporters whether at work or in the public and the sickos that are not being named in the paper or probably not being charged with any crime, SHOULD BE CHARGED ALSO! They knew what was going on, they talked about it with the abusers on several occassions and they laughed about it and they also had videos on their cell phones. It is just plain wrong! Who ever mentioned the "Mean Girls" title earlier is got that right about these individuals.

Everyone is right! I just can not believe what we have been reading lately. I have been reading several websites with these girls names and photos plastered on them. I wondered if ABC or any of the other national news station would catch wind of this story. Also read the complaint reports at www.startribune.com. Read it several times and the many times you read it, your picturing these SICKO'S doing these sick acts to someone you know personally. It just makes you upset that any of them would get away without spending time in jail. I had a relative in that facilities a few years back and i am so glad they are no longer affliated with that place. And yes a mother to one of the under age individuals works there and I can truly say that she isn't to highly cared for. Another thing while reading the reports, it makes me upset that these individuals knew they were doing wrong, but continued to do the terrible things they did. "Honor thy Mother and Father" means elderly also. A "Mortal Sin" means a felony.

I agree with you all. I use to go there, maybe about 3 times a year since it opened. Well, I found out for myself that the machines do not pay out worth a dam (not that I dropped a lot of cash there). I quit going there and I thought about all the grants that the casino pays out to the IOWA school districts and it makes me upset that Freeborn County can't come up with an idea like this for our area. Maybe than our taxes and our area schools would'nt be going up and asking for money every year. Imagine how it would help our community and businesses.

What do mean scurvydog? This was Indian Land, do some history checking and you will find that the Indians owned this land and the white man decided to be greedy and take it from them by lying to them and writing up false treaties. It is sad how they were treated!
