I could have more comments on this issue however, I think I will play it as safe as everyone else has in this article, and side step the issue.
I will now fail to note the hypocrites that have contributed.
I will offer an opinion
A design standard should include affordability as you want to promote locally grown businesses. Every new business should be treated as a start up endeavor in a community as small as ours.
Unless we have booming industry and a growing population in a time of extended financial recovery leave this ordinance to be revisited at a time of a more vibrant future.
It is time to realistically look at the economy and live within or means.

I have to laugh about the no exterior paint requirement as Wal-Mart just painted the entire structure this year, as a part of their renovation. I guess they will be sand blasting after this ordinance passes.

No One knows this the second year I have done it and don't even know who won last year. That is why I won't do it anymore. The paper doesn't even care to post the results.

Two years of cooking chili and never recieving the results of who won or how we places, I am not going to participate anymore. I almost feel it is predetermined.

The sons of one of the 1988 victims are close friends and I felt their pain as I read this once again. One runs a Madd Mothers victims impact group and he is still angry over it.

I have a devise in my vehicle (voluntary) that monitors my driving habits that allows discounts on my auto insurance I am saving 22 percent of what the standard premium rate would be for someone my age with my driving history. The devise monitors, speed, distance, acceleration, and seat belt use.
