Wow! Can we not just see this for what it is? People helping other people. Plain and simple, who cares where it is.
A great big " FANTASTIC JOB " goes out to these students and to ANYONE else who chooses to help people . It is ALWAYS INSPIRING to see people give, no matter the place , economic situation, or organization.

I agree with jcorey2. Keillor's humor is not understood by all.

That's great that you drop money at every pot you walk by " dutchess ", do you also volunteer to ring the bells?
My family is one the recipients of the gifts and food and I have rung the bell at the kettles before. I have a job, am a full time nursing student AND am a single parent to 3 boys. People in need are not necessarily unemployed.
I'm not " flaming " you but you really shouldn't make judgements when you don't know the whole story.
The Salvation Army is a wonderful organization that has helped me countless times. Thank you and Blessings to all!

Way to go ladies! As a nursing student, it's women like you who are an inspiration!

Do you really want the government to have control over your body no matter what the situation is? Incest, Rape? This issue is a PERSONAL CHOICE for the woman involved.

Kudos to anyone and everyone who worked on this wonderful project!! It just goes to show what can be done when people work together for a cause.....especially a good one!! I wish I could have been a part of it, but it was fun just to be supportive and to keep up with how everything was coming together!!
Congratulations to the DeVries family!! God Bless you!!
