There are plenty of beautiful places in the area to visit that don't have the horrific stench of dead, rotting carp over the summer and the mass chaos of ice fisherman during the winter. I've never had the desire to go there! I think there is so much wasted land in Albert Lea it's insane! Let the Humane Society (that is purely run on donations and volunteers) put that space to good use and expand!!! All this town needs is another abandoned or closed building.

I think this is absolutely wonderful. The Humane Society has to rely on foster homes and volunteers right now - with a bigger shelter they can operate as numerous other shelters currently do. This could also be a great opportunity for the youth in the community to get some great volunteer experience!
