I believe the tree planting was 1983.

Are AL and Austin even still rivals?

Peter... I didn't take any comments as necessarily negative about the band. It seemed to me like someone was just expressing their feelings that they missed hearing them.

Thank you for your explanation. Though it came off as being defensive, it was very informative. We will look forward to hearing the band at future games!

I was Class of 83 as well, and though I don't remember toilet papering before school started, we definitely did it up for Homecoming.

I also remember after our class painted the trees on Bridge Avenue, subsequent years had bans on teenagers purchasing spray paint. Mea Culpa.

Profit does not come from selling a $6. print. It isn't even a break even for me.

It is my business to have this kind of gear, and as in any business, it cost money to be in business. I didn't mean to sound arrogant, just trying to help you understand the reasoning behind why I offer these prints for what I do.

Let's say you shot 700 images that day. You drove 3 hours round trip to the event, spent the bulk of the day there. The next day you spend another 3 hours processing the images, resizing them, uploading them onto a website that you pay for, and then you go back to work on Monday. People randomly begin calling you for prints. You stop what you are working on to spend time with them, get their address information, find the files they requested, create a new folder for them, prepare the files for the lab, create an order for the lab, send them to the lab. When the prints return, you check them in, package them and drive them 25 minutes round trip to the post office to mail them. This is all on top of doing your regular job. All of a sudden $6. to accomplish this doesn't really seem like that much at all.

You really did hit a sensitive spot with me when you publicly questioned my offering prints I shoot at events that I am not only not paid to shoot, but spend my personal time doing it. Through the years I have gotten requests for prints on a regular basis. Most people have expressed that they are thankful that I captured what I was able to and made them available. The bulk of people simply enjoy seeing them, but for those who want a hard copy, this has been the best way I have found to make that happen.
