I see alot of comments from people on here that say young people run through the stop signs, old people run through stop signs, semis, motorcycles, buicks, etc. I think the fact of the matter is, is that it doesn't matter WHAT or WHO is behind the wheel we all have to be careful. The world has gone and got itself in a great big hurry and we are always running late to this or that. Everyone needs to take precautions and protect themselves from the other people on the road that are a menace, that includes people talking on the phone and eating and many other things that we now do in the car because we cannot take the time to do it at home. Just for the record to the person that said that all the benefits and poker runs should be checked for people drinking, I go on many poker runs and benefit runs and I can guarantee you that the people that ride with us are not drinking. Just because you are in a bar doesn't automatically make you "drunk" we DO NOT consume alcohol on our runs although we do stop at bars, and if you have ever noticed most of the benefit runs are for good causes and many more are for victims of motorcycle accidents. Sometimes people need to think before they type.

Nisperos and controlledhyperness

check out the website hosta posted on March 6th at 2:22. He does have conditions and at the bottom of the page there is an ISR (intense supervised release) agent and his number, he is from Hennepin county but maybe he would be able to help you or at least point you in the right direction. There is also a list of his conditions (although rather short if you ask me) and a more current photo of him vs. the mug shot in this article.

As for the ones that think we should welcome him with open arms, I think I have a right to feel SAFE in my home and my community. What about his victims rights, I really don't think he cared about her rights so why may I ask should we care about his right to have a second chance. He did not commit a victimless crime but a crime his victim has to live with for the rest of her life, always looking over her shoulder, not having the automatic trust most of us take for granted when we meet new people, he violated her in a way no human being should be. Also as someone else stated he took a plea agreement, the good lord only knows what else he has done. Maybe a practice what you preach is in order, let him live next to your grandma, mother, sister, daughter or granddaughter and see if you opinion changes.

I would advise everyone to look at the website that hosta posted at 2:22 they have another picture of him there and I wouldn't have thought it was the same person. Also it states in that form that he will be supervised until 12/09 don't remember the exact date. I don't think thats very long it will be December before we know it.

I work at the casino and just to let you know they putting up no smoking areas in the casino. I figured they are just doing that since everyone is throwing fits about them being able to smoke in there. I agree if they won't let you smoke in bars and rest. why in the casino. I also work in an American Legion. I don't think the smoking ban has really had an effect on business there. But back to the issue, we have seen a dramatic drop in sales of pull tabs that would fund alot of community activities, the big pull tab spenders now go to the casino. The casino has had a huge effect on the small business' around. Anything that anyone can do to improve the bar business definately has my support. The casino gives out alot of money, but no money to the little things that the American Legions donate to. We also do benefits for people, lend out misc. medical supplies, the casino does not do things like that we have to do what we can to support our American Legions.

On Should pull-tabs be expanded?

I will admit I have been to Pure Pleasures, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and I will admit the people in there were what most would consider decent people. I even saw a lady from one of the local banks. I will admit I did hide from her but it was a decent place and I did not at anytime feel like I was surrounded by rapists. Just a bunch of people that either wanted to check the place out or wanted to spice up their lives a little bit. For the record I do not know the family at all, never heard of them.

I agree very good article. Right to the point. Those girls are laughing at the fact they know they got away with multiple crimes. I will not put my mother in any nursing home if I can help it. And yes we are all watching, the whole country is watching make sure you do the right thing. Don't let these **** girls bully you like they did to the victims.

When I lived in Worth county we had a county dump. Well a few of them actually, located throughout the county. Whick was wonderful, unfortunately, there are always the few bad apples that ruin it for everyone and they started dumping everything there, furniture, computers, etc. Well, low and behold the closed all but one down and it was just as easy for us and some neighbors to get together and rent a dumpster. It costs alot and it is sometimes a pain to still have to drive to get rid of our trash, (we had the neighbor in the middle place it on their property), not to mention when you go to dump your trash in the dumpster you feel like you are invading their privacy. But it works. Not the best option, but one that works and we are not burning or having to drive the 18 miles one way to take our garbage to the county dump. Just one option that worked for us.

Wonderful, wonderful story. It's amazing how easy it is to help out, it doesn't hurt one bit, and took a minimal amount of time. It really made me think about what I have and what I take for granted also. I will also be cleaning out my pantry and closets. If I can make one persons day a little less stressful, it is worth it. I worked in the healthfield and my motto always was and still is "If I can make one person forget about their health problems and their pain even for a moment, it is well worth the time and effort." Until reading your story I never even thought about other things I could be doing. For making me take another look in the mirror, I thank you.
