Cheyenne, Didn't mean for you to analyze my situation. But since you did, we've always told our kids to call too....which just because you have open lines of communication doesn't mean they'll do the right thing. The police DID get involved however it's kind of hard to prove when all the kids are gone and nobody is fessing up to it. My son never went back and in fact lost his friends over the ordeal (which was not a bad thing). For you to insinuate that I don't know what's going on with my kids is unfair. It wasn't as if things were "so bad" that it took a fall for me to wake up...get real. I don't need to explain my situation and I wasn't asking for comment. You get enough of that when you see your child through 7 months of treatment, counseling, etc. Now he's with other adults who allow the same behavior and the cycle continues. I stand behind my earlier comment.

I wonder how many of you have underage kids who have been allowed to drink in the home of another. This has happened to me. My son was drinking every weekend at the home of another. The single mother knew of it and allowed it. Little did I know he and his friends were driving home drunk from there. Didn't realize it until he fell down the steps. The drinking lead into drugs. Before you know it he's is in rehab and has since relapsed. Now he's moved out and lives with other adults who enable him because they too are alcoholics. Recently they've let him have parties at their house which lead to fights which lead to broken bones with assault charges pending. But hush hush for those adults, right?! I am very happy with this!! I'm sure that if you've been through it you'd feel the same way.

My property taxes is estimated to go up by 34% next year. Wonder if I'm paying for these raises.

These two girls need to go to jail...no question about it. They knew what they were doing, knew it was wrong, did it over the course of several months and then bragged about it. They are 18 and need to be punished and serve their time just like any other adult would in the same situation.

Everyone makes mistakes. We're only human. I hope he can recover emotionally from the loss of losing part of his arm.

I drive through this area nearly every day and it is a very dangerous location. With all the semi traffic it's hard for anyone to see (which is probably not the case in this situation)....but what will it take before the DOT installs proper traffic signals? I wonder if any studies on safety have ever been conducted as to this site. Glad everyone was ok.

Too bad... Alan is a likable guy but I guess some things never change. And Trevor, you need to stay out of trouble!
