Freeborn county needs to grow a pair and stop screwing around with these fools! How about setting an example with these pukes! Maybe their "associates" will pack it up, back to where ever they came from! Albert Lea definately needs to be swept clean of the trash it has accumulated!

It's about time!!! Anyone who can complain or find a problem with this is probably just worried that someone will turn them in!!! Guess you better watch out! Tamethetane, turn neighbor against neighbor, are you serious!!! I would love nothing more than for every blood sucking drug dealer or drug addicted parent to be turned in! I don't think anyone who's not a criminal has any problem throwing a tip to the cops! Darn it will really suck if criminal drug addicts start getting busted left & right!!! Maybe a few families will be saved in the process! GO ALPD!!

Why would she come? The vitality project is great, but it sure won't do anything to help her or her husband. Sorry, not a big enough showing for her. It's all about publicity, and you Albert Lea are not important enough for even a personal message! Frame that postcard! It's all you get!

Make sure they are cut from the graveyard shift, so they won't be able to bust the drunkies driving home from the bars, and Freeborn County won't have to waste so much money on all those pesky trials! Seems like a win/win! Yikes! Albert Lea can't think of anything else that could be cut from the budget instead?

peacerules - you are waaaaay out there... Enjoy your smokes! By the way, what else are you smoking? You really compare cigarette smoke to flowers! I never mentioned the city streets you "helped pay for". I think the article was about banning smoking at privately owned businesses! When you walk back in from your "break" and you smell like an ashtray, thank your employer for tolerating you! Whine on proud smoker, whine on!

What exactly is the criteria to be prescribed such dangerous and widely abused prescriptions? This article says she was "doctor shopping", shouldn't a patient have to have a serious or debilitating illness or injury to warrant being prescribed such meds? Why would you prescribe such a powerful and highly addictive med to someone who you have not treated? This stuff should not be able to be prescribed by ER's or Urgent care doctors. Only people seeing their primary care physicians on a regular basis should be allowed to take this crap so their conditions can be closely monitored. Doctors in general need to accept a great deal of responsibility for the growing problem of prescription drug abuse. Back pain, migraines, nerve pain, etc. etc. etc. What ever happened to OTC remedies? Docs seem to be automatically passing out this crap to anyone with a toothache!! It is time to start looking back to see who is prescribing this stuff long term and correct the problem at the source- irresponsible practitioners.

peacerules- I said MORE productive! When someone goes out to smoke they are gone for at least 5 to 10 minutes, and probably go out 2 or 3 times during their shift. Is that productive? NO!!! Will bars close for the drunks? Are you serious! If I go to the bar I expect to be greeted by drunks! When I walk in or out of work, should I HAVE to be greeted by a cloud of smoke? Should our customers HAVE to be greeted by a cloud of smoke? It is a workplace! Someone else OWNS the property you are puffing away on! Go home and smoke! (Or go to the bar- oh yeah, you can't smoke there either!!! WAAAAH WAAAAH!)
