Agreed, law enforcement is only obligated to tell us the specifics that they are allowed to. But if they are seeking assistance from the public then they should be giving us more than "who allegedly drove a company truck — possibly a grain truck — into a swamp, injured himself and then fled the scene," not even a name until this morning, but KAAL had his name as of the 10 pm news.
The way the Tribune worded everything makes it sound like he intentionally drove the truck into the swamp, intentionally hurt himself, and then fled the scene which sounds as if he was/is guilty of something.
The law enforecemtn withheld his name from the beginning, but yet wanted us readers to assist them with any information we may have.
This is a public site; I have a right to voice my opinion-5th Amendment and all! If the Tribune is OK with posting crap, then they're going to get crap. I merely stated that before information is going to be released, then think of the family before doing so. The way this is worded makes him sound like a criminal, not a victim. So please, Wingo, Buddy, Knowledge and Gardenmama-get over yourselves.

I hope this person is located soon and is in good health when found. Praying for his safe discovery and for strength for his family during the search.
Now, why is it listed that he 'injured himself then fled the scene." Do we know that he injured himself, or was he injured from driving into the swamp? And how do we know he fled the scene? Fleeing the scene of an accident would imply guilt of some sort, do we know this? Or is there more that is not being disclosed? (I understand that not all details are shared until a full investigation has been conducted but if you're going to post a story such as this then maybe a little more information would be ideal)
KAAL is covering the story much more thoroughly, maybe gather some of your information from their site. http://www.kaaltv.com/

Maybe instead of being concerned about where the cow is going to crap next, the real focus should be on how much Kernel Days has gone down hill. The route of the parade has been changed which now prevents the residents at the nursing home to watch the parade and now this year the rides were replaced with the inflatable jumpers! The only thing booming in that town these days is the Firemans Dance which is full of crazed drunks on a slippery cement floor. The cities focus has become all for the adults; forget the children! Drugs, alcohol and gambling-Great Town! (sarcasm) Glad I left there and took my hubby with me :)

Nancy is for sure an asset to the community-well put Snowbird! I've been dealing with Nancy off and on for the past 9 yrs and I love her to pieces. She is NOT kidding when she says she's looking out for the best interest of the child(ren). For the individuals that dislike her, you're more than likely the one's that do need help and need to have her in your life as a wake-up call that something you're either doing or not doing is affecting your child negatively. Instead of sitting at the bar, go home and play a game with your child, shut off the TV and read a book to your child. Your actions now will only affect your children as adults-so be a positive role model. That is all Nancy is looking for with these cases-who the children are better off with and what lifestyle is best for your child. Way to go Nancy!

Maybe you should know the man a little better before you cast judgement about "what is wrong with people." Have you never driven around a cross-arm at a RR intersection?? Have you never rolled through a stop sign??? I'm sure in your perfect little world you haven't done anything that may be considered "stupid" by someone else right????? He was coming back from the grocery store, didn't want to wait for the train and in the midst of moving his groceries the train started to move! Stupid? Yes, but the fact of the matter is this man was injured and will have to deal with this the rest of his life. Some of you are so hypocritcal! Always gotta be a few asses in the barn!

and one more thing, not to mention that the railroad crosses at least 6 intersections that I can think of in the city of Wells...readers want to know the who what when where and how...get over yourself AlbertLeaB...

OOOOK I did mess that up, I do know what the amendments are but I got tied up in the heat of the moment. I am merely suggesting that the wording, from either the law enforcement center or the tribune could have been posted differently. I am not the only one that sees the misleading information here. I am sure it was unintentional, but if the person saying the statements and the person publishing the statements had stepped back and thought about what it all said, they would realize they are insinuating there is foul play.
Not to mention the lack of discription-"he has brown hair, brown eyes, and a round face" - really?? We can see that in the photo; how tall is he? what was he wearing? does he have any distinguishing marks that we as the general public need to know if we see him. If he hit his head, he may be delusional and hitched a ride out of state not knowing what he was doing.
There are endless possibilities here, all I am saying is the importance of this has been misleading from the beginning. I feel for the family of Seth and hope that he is returned to his family unharmed and soon.
I apologize for my amendment screw up, I do know which is which-as I said I got tied up in the moment.
Strusz family-I pray for strength and guidance for all of you and hope that he is returned to you safely!!!
