Thanks NoDHL I like your answer. I apologize for assuming the worse. I agree, nobody likes to take a cut but during war times everybody has to sacrifice. That's just the way it is.

Just curious, NODFL, how do the area schools stack up in the state as far as wages? If wages for each location is averaged out and every teacher gets paid the same, would you get a raise or a pay cut? I would venture a guess that you would probably get a raise otherwise you wouldn't be in favor of this type of payment system or would you be in favor of all Minnesota teachers taking a pay cut like the rest of us? What I am constantly hearing from you is that your service to the community is far more valuable than anyone elses. We are all asked to make sacrifices, why can't teaches do the same?

I agree with tiger... I don't listen to Rush, have tried, but everytime I try he shows me how intolerant he can be... I thought maybe it was because of the drug problem but he hasn't changed a bit. The last line of tigers opinion is typical for him. This is not the type of rantings that the NFL needs. Next thing you know he'd want to be a sports commentator for them.... On the View this morning, they said that Rush buying this football team would be like Vick buying into the kennel club.... How many athletes have lost their indorsement because they have been caught doing something unethical... It would be nice if the club owners would be held to the same standards that the players do.

By the way Born free, I don't live on another planet and no I don't watch radical liberal commentators either....I don't like it when members of either party try pushing their ideas on me. I like to think for myself. What I have seen about the conservatives is that for the most part they are "holyer then thou" individuals who in most cases were born with a silver spoon in their mouth and have little or no passion for people who are middle or lower class and have less than they do, they come off as being snobs..... I agree Tulip....I just have a hard time listening to the negative comments about the liberals which I guess is what I am, judging by the things that I have been reading...

BornFree: "Why are you liberals so afraid of "Rush L"? He's just a radio show commentator, so what's the deal? Do you feel intimidated by him???"
Just wanted you to know that intimidation isn't the correct word for it. With him as a role model, he gives all conservatives a bad rap. I stopped listening to him a long long time ago. I try not to support the Fox network either. Try shutting off the sound when he is speaking and watch his rediculous movements...Now, that's funny.... Can any of you conservatives out there tell me what network I can tune in to that I can watch the liberals bashing the conservatives like Rush does????? I haven't found any yet. Who's more compassionate, conservatives or liberals???

First of all, I agree with Robert. I have something else to say about this statement. I used to work at a position where I could see the prospective employees entering the employment office and asking for a job. If an employee entered and had another person with them and the other person had to fill out the application, that is a pretty good indication that that person may not be here legally and should be looked at further, or if the employer chooses to hire this person they should be checked out more closely, so they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are legal. Some positions don't require you to have a diploma or know how to read or write but if they can't fill out their own application, this should be a pretty good indication that this person isn't from this country and maybe they aren't documented. This application should be put to the back of the stack, with a statement, "cannot read or write" on their application or placed into the garbage...??? There are enough legal American citizens of all colors and ethnic groups wanting jobs that I don't understand why these positions are given to anyone the employer cannot prove beyond a shadow of a doubt is legal...

I understand that the law is flawed. I guess they should improve/change the SS system, maybe they need to put a picture of the person that applied for the card. Maybe have the recipiants reapply every year, with a new photo every so many years. I know of a case where a person (male hispanic) was picked up on another charge and was holding the card of a deceased female caucasion. This is something that shouldn't happen, they could have had the sex of the person applying for the card listed on the card and this wouldn't have happened.
