outoftowner. I am a traveling Therapist. I help out for three month contracts when nursing homes are unable to find their own Therapist (which is mandatory under federal law). The last four years I have been in 30 nursing homes in 8 different states. I have not been in a home yet that is making a profit. The majority are "not for profit" homes owned by churches. I am not sure where you friends worked but your friends need to turn that home into the state regulation department. I work directly with the nurses and nursing ass't on a daily bases. Training them on how to move the residents from one surface to another. How to follow through with the Therapy programs that we have developed. To this date I have not wittnessed a resident with there pants down for the purpose of avoiding changing thier pads. The treatment team has careplanned for the resident to have the pants off while in bed to heal a wound that occurred while at the Hospital. Speaking of hospitals. Now thats a whole different abuse situation that I will not go into. My whole point is of all these facities that I have worked in the nursing staff are good, caring and loving people.

Good job everyone. I wish I was there to help. I am currently in Naples Florida on assignment but I am preying for all of you and will try to send nice weather your way :-)
