And I agree with NoDFL that corporate welfare(socialism) has unbalanced this country/world. Also a decent living wage would curb low-end welfare, something corporations, the Chamber of Commerce, etc oppose. Their competition for cheap/slave labor overseas to satisfy stockholders adds to poverty and social welfare in this country.

The level of media parroting on this forum is sickening.
Definitely a consequence of consumer media mania.
The pundits and columnists of corporate media must be amazed at the number of spineless sponges soaking up their daily propaganda garbage.
Opinions proposed herein that are not sieved by media are consistently attacked as false or not worthy. Do you realize what puppets you be? And then you bemoan our loss of freedoms. To be tethered to these mind manipulators disguised as a free press. How awful.

Our concern should be american's health, not winning the National Spelling Bee. After all, Ernie, those future capital managers now working for minimum wage at Mcducks need to stay healthy if capitalism(consumerism) is to flourish.

Cut up your credit cards, Mr and Mrs Public. I dare you.
The financiers love debt. It is their form of redistributing wealth from the working class to the elite.
The blabbering fools who attempt to politicize wealth distribution refuse to acknowledge the power of financiers, which is supreme.

There always were poor. There always will be. The question is one of morals on how to cope with this endemic situation, much as we deal with disease.
To believe poverty can be eradicated by any means is nonsense. History is the teacher.

McCarthyism is on its death bed. Tom nurses it.
But then does he buy products from a totalitarian communist nation? Does he use petroleum from a country which enabled 9/11?
What about Bush sucking up to Putin the KGB thug?
When the public fears blaming themselves for their misery they usually spread fear, and blame on easy targets....much as the Russians and Islamic radicals do.

The casinos 'endowing' the public with swindled money, much as the Rockefellers and Carnieges did....and do.

So many folks whine about the good ole days, yet forsake the advice of their parents/grandparents, and replace it with hyper media mania. No one to blame but yourself.
