Car-flippin' action!
Posted by jeshuaerickson on August 4, 2008
Yesterday Tim and I went to the demolition derby at the Freeborn County Fair. I took along my little digital camera to see if I could capture a highlight or two. Though my video taking skills are less than stellar, I managed to get some car-flipping footage. (The real action starts about 50 seconds into this video.) Amazing! Read more and add a comment

Last Saturday I ran the 4th Annual Challenge Cancer 5k at Como Park in St. Paul. I got 4th overall. What surprised me most was my time: 18:48, which is a pace of 6:04 per mile (5:55 first mile, 6:21 second mile, and a 5:55 last mile). I had hoped to run 19:30 or better. Read more and add a comment

Good runner some day

When I first started running cross-country in 8th grade, I was the slowest on the team. My daily practices were marked with the following: shin splints, side aches, head aches, and pure exhaustion. Besides being incredibly thin (5'9" and 105 lbs.), I was not designed to be a runner. Why did I keep running? Because I thought, with enough hard work, I could be a good runner some day.
