Treasure Family Treasures estate sales

Published Friday, August 1, 2008

When we first started looking for a piano, Jen called into party line on KATE AM. We ended up fielding calls all morning from people who had old pianos they wanted to get rid of. (KATE's party line is awesome!)

Over the course of the next week or so we shuffled around in cluttered basements, studied soundboards, checked to see if keys worked, took down serial numbers and attempted to figure out if various pianos were spinets, consoles, or an uprights. There were several we liked, but none really grabbed our attention.

In the end, our friend Gail told us about a couple of pianos that were on sale at Family Treasures in the Skyline Mall. Gail said that both pianos sounded good and were in good shape.

When we got there, we almost instantly decided on the one you see pictured here in this entry. It sounded great and was in fantastic shape. The price was amazing, too. Family Treasures also delivered the piano right to our living room for no extra charge.

This wasn't our first Family Treasures purchase. Several weeks ago we bought an old rocking chair there too. And we love it!

Bottom line is this, if you're looking for quality furniture or pianos or other old stuff to decorate or furnish your home, check out Family Treasures Estate Sales. If you're like me and Jen, chances are you'll find just what you're looking for.
