Worth brewing beer

Father Jim Young of Christ Episcopal Church here in Albert Lea was the first to tell me about the Worth Brewery in Northwood, Iowa. A couple weeks ago we held our "Theology and a Pint" there. "Theology and a pint" is a group of people who sit around and talk spirituality and theology while drinking beer, water, pop or whatever. Some folks who come go to Christ Episcopal Church and others don't. It's a pretty open group -- everyone is invited.
You can get a pint of locally brewed beer there for $3.50. The price is amazing and so is the taste. Budweiser and Miller have their place in the lore of American good times, but nothing beats a thick, rich, creamy beer that is designed to taste good.
I visited Worth Brewery again last Friday with a group of friends from Albert Lea. We sat in hardwood chairs, ordered pizza from the parlor two doors down and pulled our pints close while socializing and relishing every sip of our chosen brew.
Make the trip to Northwood. It's not far. And if you love good beer, you will not be disappointed.

What about the growlers?
Well, if I would've gotten one, I would've written about it. Right now I'm too envious of the people who bought them to write about it. I PAINS me that I don't have my own growler. Okay?!
A growler you say!!!! Wow, I didn't know they were available so close to home. 64 ounces of cold goodness. MMMM good. Which brew would you recommend??
It PAINS me that I don't have a growler of my own! But if I DID have one, I think I'd thoroughly enjoy a growler full of "Slim Jim." That's it...I'm getting a growler soon. Either that or I'm going to run over to tengstrom's house and steal his. Rdub might have one; I'll steal his too!
