That did happen.

The Tigers played well in the 3-1 loss to Rochester John Marshall, but started too slow.

&uot;It just took us awhile,&uot; said Albert Lea coach Dawn Conzemius. &uot;It took us 30 minutes to get into the game. We played well the second half. But it just took us awhile.&uot;

With the Tigers not adjusting well to Rochester’s initial attack, Rochester scored six minutes into the game. The opponent added another goal 16 minutes later to take the 2-0 lead.

In the second half, the Tigers picked up their game and scored nine minutes into the half. Brooke Plantage scored on a corner kick assist from Amy Ravenhorst.

JM scored for the final time 16 minutes into the half.

The Tigers, 8-6, are in action again Tuesday against Winona. While they were scheduled to play Rochester Century Thursday, sectional playoffs likely start that day with Albert Lea traveling to Caledonia.

&uot;We have a good shot,&uot; Conzemius said of defeating Caledonia.

Caledonia was at the Albert Lea tournament earlier this fall, which the Tigers won.
