When Sandy Maiden, left, became

commander of Leo Carey Post 56 of the American Legion in 1998, one of her prime goals was to preserve a collection of posters from World Wars I and II. Now those 25 posters will be on display in Heritage Hall at the Freeborn County Historical Society Museum. With her are Gene Lysne, center, and &uot;Ding&uot; Hanson, right, members of the post’s honor guard. Hours at the museum are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, during the winter months.
