The seventh-annual candlelight ski will be held at Myre-Big Island State Park on Saturday between 6 and 9 p.m. Visitors can ski along two different groomed candle-lit trails on Big Island, and visit with park staff.
If the sky is clear, Ken Fiscus, a local science teacher, will present an astronomy program. Refreshments will be served in the Owen Johnson Interpretive Center. The event is free and open to the public.
A Minnesota Ski Pass and Minnesota State Park Vehicle Permit are required for the event. Daily ski passes are available at the park. Annual ski passes must be purchased through the electronic licensing system.
