Not far from this location, another permit was issued in June with a valuation of $450,000 for the construction of a 36-by-48-foot building for the Community Foot Clinic at 904 Plaza St.

A third major listing on the June report shows Don Warner (Slifka Sales) as the recipient of a permit with a valuation of $194,800. This permit is for the construction of a 168-by-60-foot wholesale sales building and a 18-by-48-foot office and warehouse at 403 Prospect Ave.

A total valuation of $2,384,599 was listed for building permits issued by the city in June. This increases the total for the first half of the year to a valuation of $6,384,232.

At the end of June 2000, the city’s report shows a total valuation of $9,218,584 for permits issued.

Permits for three new single-family dwellings were issued in June. The report shows that one of these permits is for a Habitat for Humanity structure at 711 Plainview Lane.

The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued 53 building permits in June. Of this number, 24 permits were issued to Glenville residents to repair damages from the May 1 tornado.

An estimated valuation of $1,109,000 for building permits was recorded by the county office in June. This increases the total for the first half of the year to an estimated $2,993,400.

Permits for four new homes and one home addition were listed during June by the county department.
