But they sure were costly.

Post 56 had a pair of errors that led to two unearned runs in a 5-4 loss to the Rochester A’s at Hayek Field Wednesday night.

&uot;We made a couple mistakes that cost us some runs,&uot; said Albert Lea coach Dell Dooley. &uot;But it seemed like every time we made a mistake, they scored.&uot;

The locals lost despite outhitting the visitors 13-8.

&uot;We played a real good all-around ballgame,&uot; said Dooley. &uot;All aspects of the game were good.&uot;

And Jay Link was good in all aspects. The left-hander pitched a complete game, striking out five, and was 4-for-4 at the plate.

&uot;He had just an outstanding game,&uot; said Dooley.

Isaiah Parry was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Phil Wacholz was also 3-for-4. Isaac Walton, Adam Highum and David Dahl each contributed one hit.

&uot;Parry had a couple real timely hits,&uot; said Dooley. &uot;And he had two defensive gems at second base.&uot;

The loss dropped Albert Lea’s record to 7-11. Post 56 meets Owatonna at 6:30 tonight at Hayek Field and hosts a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Winona Saturday.
