The South Central Drug Investigation Unit, consisting of detectives from the Albert Lea Police Department and the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Dameion Joseph Luna, 34, of 105 West 11th Street on Sept. 17, after he tried to sell two ounces of methamphetamine for $2,000.

According to the investigation, Luna sold a total of 12.6 grams of methamphetamine and one-eighth gram of marijuana to an undercover investigator and received $1,441 between July 20 and Aug. 15.

The charges against Luna would include first-degree sale of controlled substance crime and seven other counts. The maximum penalty would be 30 years imprisonment and a $1,000 fine.

Luna was selling drugs at Pioneer Park, Northbridge Mall and an apartment in Hartland under detectives’ surveillance. In the last transaction attempt at Pioneer Park on Monday, Luna also offered to sell two pistols for $300, according to the investigation.
