Funeral services for Hattie A. (Winter) Knutson, age 87, of Albert Lea, formerly of Alden, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Rev. Omar Stuenkel will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kiester.

Phyllis J. Christenson, age 66, of Leona Valley, Calif., died of breast cancer Aug. 20, 2001, at home.

Maj. Eugene Alvin Paulson, U.S. Army (Ret.), age 76, of San Antonio, Texas, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001.

Funeral services for Luverne Paul Koziolek, age 68, of Wells, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ruth L. Groe, age 87, of Lake Mills, Iowa, died Thursday, Sept, 6, at her home. Arrangements are pending at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, Lake Mills.

Carey Lennie, age 19, of Albert Lea, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Rochester Methodist Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.
