Heidi Null, 5, prepares a Humane Society of Freeborn County foster dog for the walk-a-thon Saturday at Frank Hall Park in Albert Lea. The event brought in 42 people and 50 dogs, who walked the Blazing Star Trail and donated money to the Humane Society. In last year’s event, nearly $2,000 was raised; this year, representatives estimated it would be slightly less.
