MN Aviation student Brian Mason waves to someone in the hangar as he and Certified Flight Instructor Karen Kehoe walk away from their airplane after completing some instrument flight training Tuesday at the Albert Lea airport. So far the Federal Aviation Administration is allowing general aviation aircraft to fly only if the pilot files an instrument flight plan. This means pilots who are not certified to fly on instruments alone are still grounded.
