Members of the Albert Lea Exchange Club gave small American flags to over 700 students at Southwest Junior High School as part of the Veterans Day program Monday morning. Members of the school band, like these clarinet players, placed their flags on music stands. The observance was sponsored by Freemond Madson Post 447 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Area women veterans presented a program on the creation of the American flag.
