Former Albert Lean Donald Schmidt, center, was recently inducted into the National Wheelchair Softball Association Hall of Fame. Here, Schmidt is congratulated by NWVA commissioner Jon Speak, left, and WPVA executive director Daniel Heidtke. Schmidt, son of George W. and the late Alice A. Schmidt of Wells, is a graduate of Alden High School. Schmidt currently resides in Milwaukee.
