She believes it was in Pam Stoltz’s senior year, the 1990-91 season. But that was before Tuesday, when the Tigers ended their long drought against East by defeating the Cougars 55-47 at ALHS.

&uot;Overall, it was nice to see the kids play back-to-back games with four quarters of intensity,&uot; said Hansen, whose team topped Northfield Saturday.

It was the first Big Nine win of the season for the ALHS girls, who improved to 4-6 overall.

The Tigers’ leaders Tuesday: Danielle Jacobs 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists; Danielle Rankin 11 points, four rebounds; Jenny Vanderploeg eight points, three rebounds, three assists; Aubree Page eight points; Jenny Hovendick five points, four rebounds; Beth Kolling four points, eight rebounds, seven assists; Amy Ravenhorst four points, six rebounds, three assists; Ashley Rankin three points.

&uot;In the games we’ve lost, our opponents have forced us to play their game,&uot; said Hansen. &uot;Tonight the girls stayed with what is successful for us.&uot;

The Tigers next play Friday at Austin.
