Traffic accidents mounted Tuesday morning due to frosty roads and below-freezing temperatures.
According to the Albert Lea Police Department, four collisions were reported between 7:54 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. Three other accidents happened all over the county in the same morning.
Freezing rain that hit around the commuting time caused those accidents, police said.
ALPD Assistant Chief Dwaine Winkels advised drivers to reduce their speed, especially in the morning. &uot;If the forecast indicates chilly weather, get some extra time for going slow,&uot; he said.
