Callen Seberson didn’t say whether he bought Jason Eikemeier a steak dinner, but it’s safe to say he felt at least a little appreciative.
Using a brand new Storm &uot;Trauma ER&uot; ball drilled by Eikemeier, Seberson rolled the first 300 game of his young bowling career. It happened in December during the Five B’s League at Albert Lea’s Holiday Lanes.
A bowler for eight years, Seberson was a four-year member of the Albert Lea High School bowling team that placed ninth in the state tournament his junior year. His previous high game was an unsanctioned 298; his best in league competition had been 278.
&uot;It was pretty nerve wracking,&uot; said Seberson of the 300 game. &uot;Not so much the first nine frames, but when I got to the 10th the pressure really hit me.&uot;
The game was part of a 693 series.
Three weeks earlier, Seberson threw a career-best 770 series.
Seberson carries an average of about 208 per game in the Five B’s League, the only league in which he participates.
