Tribune earns honors at state newspaper convention

The Albert Lea Tribune earned two first place awards in its division – daily papers with under 11,000 circulation – at the annual Minnesota Newspaper Association conference this weekend.

The Albert Lea Tribune earned two first place awards in its division – daily papers with under 11,000 circulation – at the annual Minnesota Newspaper Association conference this weekend.

The Tribune received a first place in the category of Best Local News story for the first week of news coverage after the Farmland fire. There were a total of 47 entries in this category.

The Tribune also earned a first place award in the Best Use of Photography as a whole for 2001.

Christine Moser, publisher, and Dylan Belden, managing editor, were present at the convention to receive the awards.
