GRAND MEADOW – The Grand Meadow SuperLarks were a much improved team from their first meeting with the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines.
The Wolverines were as strong as ever.
The Glenville-Emmons boys continued their bid for the best record in school history with a 72-67 victory at Grand Meadow Tuesday night. The Wolverines improved to 16-4 overall, finishing second in the West Division of the Southeast Conference at 7-3, while Grand Meadow fell to 4-16 and 2-8.
&uot;Grand Meadow is a lot better than the first time we played them,&uot; said Wolverines coach Jeff Rayman. &uot;I’m glad we don’t have to face them in the playoffs. They’re playing good team basketball. Our kids really played a good strong game.&uot;
After trailing 19-15 at the end of the first quarter, the Wolverines were up 40-38 at halftime and 56-52 going into the fourth.
Paul Kleven had another big night, hitting five three-point shots while scoring 26 points. He also had eight rebounds and three steals.

Maurice Chessmore added four assists and two points. Matt Webb contributed three points.
The Wolverines were 24-for-57 overall from the floor, including 10-for-29 on three-pointers.
