Coach Charla Kleinbeck felt the Tigers performed their Jazz-Funk routine with precision but they failed to make the top four in Saturday’s Section 1AA meet at Faribault, missing the state meet. The Tigers also fell short of state in High Kick.

&uot;It was a hard day,&uot; said Kleinbeck. &uot;There’s a lot of tough competition in our section. We didn’t make it to state, but the girls danced well. Our High Kick did well, but could have done a little better. Our Jazz-Funk was awesome.&uot;

A total of 12 teams competed in Class AA. Faribault finished first in High Kick while Totino-Grace won in Jazz-Funk. Faribault was the only non-metro school to advance to state.

&uot;We had a good season,&uot; said Kleinbeck. &uot;I’m very proud of the girls and the way they danced today. Jazz-Funk was awesome. I wish everyone was there to see it, because the girls nailed it.&uot;

Kleinbeck said she’s already thinking about next season.

&uot;We’ll miss the seniors, it was a tough day for them,&uot; said Kleinbeck. &uot;But we’ll just start working for next year.&uot;
