Here’s tangible proof that the Bessesen family was once a part of life in Albert Lea. These raised letters are near the top portion of the building at 208 S. Broadway Ave. This building was constructed in 1885 for a jewelry store owned by John Bessesen, a Freeborn County pioneer resident.
