A Freeborn County jury found Paul Gutierrez, Jr. guilty today in his murder trial for the slaying of 18-month-old Makaio Lynn Radke in April 2001.
The jury took around two hours to find Gutierrez guilty on all three counts: two counts of first-degree murder — one by child abuse and one by criminal sexual conduct — and one count of second-degree murder.
Gutierrez faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without possibility of parole. Sentencing will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
