Officers in Freeborn County’s 20 townships were elected during the annual township elections and meetings held Tuesday night throughout Minnesota.

Officers in Freeborn County’s 20 townships were elected during the annual township elections and meetings held Tuesday night throughout Minnesota.

Five officers were elected for the first time in the county, including Roger Larson in Freeman Township, Lowell Gabriel in Nunda Township, Randy Lukes in Oakland Township, Brenda Johnson in Newry Township and Everett Jensen in Bath Township.

Throughout the county, 41 officers were elected. Among townships reporting vote totals, Oakland Township had the highest turnout; its clerk, Eileen Reese, had 74 votes.
