Diane L. Baseman, 57, Glenville

Funeral services for Diane L. Baseman, 57, of Glenville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2002, at First Lutheran Church in Glenville. The Rev. Daniel Baker will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Diane died Friday, April 26, 2002, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea.
Diane Lee Baseman was born March 5, 1945, to Kenneth and Doris (Ellefson) Brandvold in Owatonna. She attended school in Medford and belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Diane moved to Galesburg, Ill., in 1962 and worked in the area hospital and nursing homes. She met James Miller Robertson and they made a life together until her move back to Owatonna in 1985. Diane was employed at Infinia Owatonna Health Care. On June 27, 1987, she was united in marriage to Dennis Wayne Baseman. The couple lived in Glenville where they built their log home. Diane attended nursing school at Austin Tech part time from 1987 to 1989, when she graduated as an LPN. She continued working at Infinia Health Care until August of 2001 when she was no longer able to work due to her battle with cancer.
Diane enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time outdoors &045; especially fishing. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was most important to her.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Baseman of Glenville; children, Kenny and wife Shawn Brandvold of Owatonna, Charlene and husband Earl Ballard of Texas, Issy and wife Misty Robertson of Knoxville, Ill., John and Melanie Robertson of Indiana, Rick and wife Amy Robertson of Austin, Patrick and wife Kris Robertson of Glenville, Corina and husband Patrick Boser of Albert Lea, and Wade and wife Nora Baseman of Glenville; 25 grandchildren; sisters, Pat and husband Ron Jensen of Owatonna, Marilyn Harvey of South St. Paul, Kathy Quinnell of Lakeville, Karen and husband Jon Peglow of Owatonna, and Lori and husband Jess Cordova of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brothers, Dean Brandvold of Medford and Keith and wife Sherry Brandvold of West Concord; sisters-in-law, Carlene and husband Duaine Edgar of Hayfield, Linda Baseman of Albert Lea, Germain and husband Dean Lembke of Aurora, Neb., and Jane and husband Bob Rowsey of New Haven, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Roger and wife Barb Baseman of Glenville, Lyle and wife Faye Baseman of Ely, LeRoy and wife Alane Baseman of Glenville, and Darryll and wife Marlene Baseman of Albert Lea; aunts and uncles, and special aunts Florence Brandvold and Evelyn Marquardt, both of Austin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Diane was preceded in death by parents, sister Carol Brandvold, brother Dale Brandvold, and brother-in-law Duaine Baseman.
