Doris Lien-Wiborg, 60, Winthrop

Doris Lien-Wiborg, age 60, of Winthrop, Minn., died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the New Ulm Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Thursday at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Doris Mae Jensen, the daughter of Alan and Eldora (Boer) Jensen, was born May 12, 1941, in Albert Lea where she spent her youth and attended school,graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1959. She was united in marriage to Gary Lien on March 26, 1960, in Minneapolis. They made their home in Minneapolis and Iowa for a time, before moving to Cottage Grove where they

raised their family and she worked for the Cottage Grove school district and later as a Realtor.

Her husband died in October 1989. She continued to make her home in Cottage Grove where she worked for Kinart. She married Kevin Wiborg on Dec. 26, 1992 in Cottage Grove. They moved to Northfield where they lived until moving to Winthrop in 1995. She was a former member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin of Winthrop; sons: Don Lien and his wife Susan of Huntington Beach, Calif., Paul Lien and his wife Angela of Humeston, Iowa, and Mark Lien and his wife Joy of Pensacola, Fla.; stepdaughter, Jennifer Kellogg and her husband B.J. of Parker, Colo.; stepson, Douglas Wiborg of Glacier Lake, Colo.; son-in-law, Chad Shrum of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; mothers-in-law, Anne Lien of Albert Lea, and Irene Wiborg of Winthrop; sister, Dorothy Olsen and her husband Dennis of Sebeka, Minn.; brothers-in-law: Duane Lien and his wife Joyce of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Dennis Lien and his wife Cheryl of Albert Lea, James Wiborg and his wife Cheryl of Richland, Wis., Lance Wiborg and his wife Pat of Gibbon, and Bryce Wiborg and his wife Carol of New Ulm; sisters-in-law: Catherine Rengsdorf and her husband Dick of Lake Elmo, Lenore Herman and her husband Earl of Apple Valley, Darci Weber and her husband Dale of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Kristi Edwards and her husband Tom of St. Augustine, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Gary; she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Shrum in 1999; and brother, David Jensen.
