Another candidate for the job of Freeborn County Sheriff came up from within the ranks of the sheriff’s office.
Current supervisor/Investigator Bob Kindler announced his candidacy Friday.
&uot;I have the knowledge, experience and energy to continue to serve the quality and tradition of the sheriff’s office leadership,&uot; said Kindler.
Among his duties in the sheriff’s office for the past 15 years, Kindler has been engaged in general investigation and administration. He emphasized that his career would contribute to the fiscally responsible operation of the sheriff’s responsibilities.
Incumbent Sheriff Don Nolander announced Thursday that he would not seek another term in the November election.
Retired detective Mark Harig, who worked with Kindler until last December, has already announced his own candidacy for the sheriff’s office.
