Contracts on school agenda

Published 12:00 am Monday, May 6, 2002

The Albert Lea School Board is poised to finalize labor contracts with most of its remaining employees.

After voting on tentative agreements with para-educators and teachers, as well as most of the individual contracts still left unsettled, the only remaining negotiations will be with the district’s administrators. The agreements with para-educators and teachers have already been accepted by the employees, and tonight’s action will be to ratify the contract.

Structural balance resolutions for each settlement will also need to be voted upon, following a new mandate from the legislature.
