Glenville-Emmons stays alive with win

AUSTIN &045; The Glenville-Emmons baseball team remained alive in sub-section tournament play with a 7-1 victory over Southland at Austin’s Marcusen Park Monday night.

Leading 2-1 after five innings, the Wolverines put the game away with five runs in the bottom of the sixth. They outhit the Rebels 8-4. Both teams had one error.

Paul Kleven was 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead G-E at the plate. Isaiah Parry went 2-for-4, scored twice and drove in two runs. Nick Flatness was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Alex Hansen and Matt Learn had the Wolverines’ other hits. Hansen’s was a double.
