Jerome E. Kast, 60, Orange, Calif.

Memorial services for Jerome E. Kast of Orange, Calif., formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 26, in Orange, Calif.

Jerome was born on Jan. 18, 1942, the son of John E. and Imogene (Mickelson) Kast. Before his birth, his father died and his mother later married his stepfather Robert Evenson.

Jerome attended Albert Lea schools. Throughout his life he did construction work and was a mover/truck driver.

He made his home in California 30 years ago where he married Donna Davis.He enjoyed fishing and was an exceptional artist, enjoying both sketching and painting.

Jerome died on Monday, May 13, 2002, in Orange County, Calif. He was 60.

He is survived by his wife, Donna of California; children: Tony of Albert Lea, Tracy of Aurora, Colo., Monica of Albert Lea, Michael of Minneapolis, and Tamara of California; nine grandchildren whom he loved dearly; a brother,

ElRoy Kast of Albert Lea; two sisters: Barbara and her husband Tom Guiney of Albert Lea, and Carol and her husband Steve Manuel of Albert Lea; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Kast; his mother, Imogene

Evenson; his stepfather, Robert Evenson; and a sister-in-law, Janet Kast.

Jerome will be greatly missed and always remembered.
