Kevin K. Hanna, 43, Blue Earth

Kevin K. Hanna, age 43, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Manchester, Iowa, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20, at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with the Rev. Rod Stemme officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
He was born July 24, 1959, in Albert Lea, the son of Roger L. and Dorie (Wessels) Hanna.
He was a 1977 graduate of Albert Lea High School and later attended the Police Officer Academy in Des Moines, Iowa. He served as the Chief of Police of Buffalo Center, Iowa, for two years. He had been working with Wal-Mart Co. in Blue Earth since 1985. He moved to Blue Earth in 1993, where he was a department manager with Wal-Mart. He was married to Ann Marie Scott on May 8, 1994 in Blue Earth. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth and was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association and the Minnesota Wings. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and camping.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Ann Hanna of Blue Earth; son, Matthew Hanna of Fairmont; son, Cody Hanna of Fairmont; stepson, Brandon (and wife Kristine) Stevens of Phoenix, Ariz.; stepdaughter, Amy (and husband Rick) Scholtes of Blue Earth; stepdaughter, Dana Goeke of Blue Earth; parents, Roger and
Dorie Hanna of Albert Lea; grandmother, Margreta Steen of Buffalo Center, Iowa; brother, Scott Hanna (and special friend Jenni Westcott) of Emmons; and grandchildren: T. J. Scholtes, Mic Murphey, Malarie Scholtes and Sydney Stevens. He is also survived by nieces Nicole and Courtney Hanna.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather, two brothers and an infant sister.
