Manuel E. Sanches Bernal, 74, died on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at St. Johns Lutheran Home, Albert Lea. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Mexico.

Manuel was born in Los Remedios, Mpio, Venado, Mexico on November 3, 1927, son of Pablo and Margarita (Bernal) Sanches. He attended school in Mexico. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea.

Manuel had worked for Land-0-Lakes in Albert Lea for 20 years. He had also worked in many states as a migrant farm worker. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and was very generous with his produce to those who needed it. He was also a musician and had sung with bands in Minneapolis in his younger years.

Manuel is survived by 10 children; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Mexico and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
