Funeral services for Dale H. Drommerhausen, age 63, of Albert Lea, will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Lyndy West will officiate. Interment will be at Bear Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.

Dale died very peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2002 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and son.

Dale H. Drommerhausen was born on April 2, 1939, in Albert Lea, the son of Arthur and Blanche (Thompson) Drommerhausen. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Dale attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School and later from Mankato State. Dale had been in sales all of his life, owning Drommer’s Advertising. On June 3, 1978, he was united in marriage to Delphine Kuethe Carter in Beaver Creek, Iowa. The couple continued their business together here in Albert Lea. Dale was instrumental in starting the first Jaycees Demo Derby and enjoyed watching and attending stock car races. Dale had a great love for music,

especially “jazz”. He was very proud of his affiliation with A.A. for the past 26 years. Dale was a past president of the Cloverleaf Lions, and the Southside Business Association, he also served as a Chamber Ambassador.

Survivors include his wife, Delphine of Albert Lea; son, Larry and wife Heather Drommerhausen of Newport News, Va.; grandchildren: Rose Marie, Jonathan, Benjamin, Curtis and Jeffrey Drommerhausen; former daughter-in-law, Gail Drommerhausen of Blaine, Minn.; brother, Don and wife Lois Drommerhausen of Albert Lea; sister, Bev and husband Marty Olesen of Waterloo, Iowa; brothers- and sisters-in-law; father-in-law, Willard Kuethe;. Dale’s special nephews, Steve, Richard and Kenny Dulitz and their families; and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; daughters: Lori and Stacia Lynn; son, Michael; sister and brother-in-law, Pricilla and Roland Dulitz; and mother-in-law, Louise Kuethe.

Dale faced his life and health problems with courage and strength for himself and also for his family and caregivers. His sense of humor will be remembered with love. He will be forever missed by his wife, son and his many friends.
